First Southwest Community Fund

The San Luis Valley Business Loan Fund provides financing for business expansion, retention, and start-ups. Businesses must be able to provide or retain permanent full time equivalent jobs, filling 60% of the positions with low-moderate income persons.  We are a gap financer and encourage bank participation.  We do not compete with or replace local lending institutions.  We are not a lender of last resort; however, our programs are not usually as restrictive as banks.

The mission of The Denver Foundation is to inspire people and mobilize resources to strengthen our community. The Denver Foundation is the product of 100 years of generous donors, hard working volunteers, and visionary grantees. In November 1925, community leaders came together to create an endowment to serve the future needs of Metro Denver. They recognized that community needs are always changing, and they wanted to give succeeding generations some resources to help meet future needs.

The Gap Loan Revolving Fund Program provides below‑market financing to help small businesses close funding gaps and reach their growth goals. Designed to support job creation, strengthen neighborhoods, and uplift underserved entrepreneurs, this program focuses on businesses operating in areas facing economic challenges.
